Another year of Christmas Mini Sessions has wrapped, and I’m still smiling at all the memories we made.
The Classics
This year I had my two larger set ups, the tree scene and the classic bed. Perfect for families and older kiddos. Cozy, and filled with all the flocked tree goodness you expect from me over the years!
Slide through to see everyone this year :)
And of course, the two toddler/smaller kid setups returned again this year! The teepee and little tikes car have become one of my favorite traditions, because so many of you come back annually. Watching your little ones grow from infant to wide-eyed toddlers to confident, “I know this set!” professionals is the sweetest part of the season!
Baking with Santa: Pure Holiday Magic. a perfect Christmas mini session
My Baking with Santa sessions was a new thing i tried this year, and the Santa I hired was incredible! He didn’t just put on the suit; he stepped straight into character and brought so much warmth, patience, and genuine joy to each child. The way the kids lit up when they talked to him (and told him exactly what they want for Christmas) was truly heart-melting. I look forward to do this every year now!
Gingerbread Minis in October: Yes, It’s Early… but Totally Worth It
If you joined me for the Gingerbread Minis back in October, you already know we kicked off Christmas way before Halloween, and honestly? It was the best decision ever. The weather was still mild, fingers weren’t freezing, and we still had beautiful fall foliage adding warmth and color to the background. No bare trees, no chattering teeth… just early-holiday magic.
And let’s be real: these sessions have to be early because that gingerbread house set is no joke. It weighs a ton. I can barely move it around my yard, so taking it to a tree farm is absolutely out of the question (unless someone wants to gift me superhuman strength for Christmas). Shooting in October gives me the perfect conditions to make the set look its best, without risking snow, frost, or me throwing my back out.
Thank You & See You Next Year
To every Mom who booked the session, picked the outfits, fought with their kids,(iykyk) and stressed about these photos for weeks, thank you! Thank you for bringing your joy, your chaos, and your crazy family to come see me! These sessions are a tradition for many of you, and it means so much to be part of your holiday memories. I love seeing you all every year!
If you’re already excited for next year’s minis (I am!), keep an eye out next fall. Magic is guaranteed and bribing your kids to sit cost 0 extra :)
